Rohnert Park, California - The School of Business and Economics (SBE) at Sonoma State University (SSU) today announced it will host a special conference dedicated to connecting entrepreneurs with aspiring student and community innovators on Friday, November 20, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Ballroom C of the Student Center at SSU. The networking and entrepreneurship conference is focused on the theme, "Be Your Own Boss," and is open to the public. Online registration is recommended.
Speakers include a keynote address by Tommy Dunehew, Boeing's Vice President of Business Development; Morty Wiggins, former Vice President of Bill Graham Presents and General Manager of A&M Records; James Eisenberg, renowned software and services entrepreneur, and Chief Executive Officer of WhiteHotCloud, a legacy-to-cloud migration company; and Justin Eterovich, owner of Blacklist Watches and SSU Class of 2014. The SSU Entrepreneurship Conference is sponsored by the Community for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Learning at SSU, and Entreprenoma, a student-run, co-curricular organization established to support entrepreneurs.
"Our goal is to inform people about what it means to be an entrepreneur and help them develop a 'can-do' mindset to accomplish their goals. First-hand stories of successes and challenges will help attendees understand the concepts, processes, and skills associated with identifying new ideas, opportunities, and methods to create or start a new project or venture. This is the best venue around for developing entrepreneurial skills and networking with a community of dynamic go-getters," Darren Fong, Business Major and Chief Operating Officer of Entreprenoma said.
