"All good business schools will provide students with quantifiable hard skills for strategic decision-making. What sets Sonoma apart is that we go the extra mile to ensure our students leave with increased ability to navigate the change and complexities within their organization," John Stayton, Executive Director of Graduate and Executive Programs said. "The added value in a degree from Sonoma comes from shared focus on improving leaders' ability to influence, negotiate, work inter-culturally, and resolve conflict. In addition to finance, accounting, marketing, and operations, these are skills that ultimately drive career advancement and success for managers and executives.

Application deadline for the Executive MBA degree program is in September 2015 with classes beginning in October. Coursework takes place on alternating weekends over a 17-month period. This structure allows professionals and executives to develop their business acumen while bringing new skills to current work projects. Participants typically include executives and managers from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, health care, government, technology, hospitality, education, retail, and others.

Curricula includes consulting projects, case study analysis, simulations, and integrative strategy courses to improve knowledge of business plans, sustainable operations, brand marketing, and strategic planning in a complex and global environment. Students also have opportunity to participate in organized group trips domestically and internationally that develop leadership communication skills, teamwork, self-assessment, and self-reflection.
