Info sessions are designed as an opportunity for incoming students and interested professionals to meet with administrators, faculty, and staff for an overview of the program, outline of courses, and to address any questions. Admissions coordinators will also be in attendance to provide application counseling and support. Continental breakfast and coffee will be provided.

"As the wine industry continues to grow and transform, Sonoma is emerging as the global leader in research and education. Our wine-focused Executive MBA is the only of its kind in the world. As a result, students are afforded a learning experience that is unmatched with outstanding career potential," John Stayton, Executive Director of Graduate and Executive Programs said. "Our goal in hosting the information sessions is to communicate the value of what we do and why, and engage students and professionals to connect our programs with the well-being of our communities and health of the broader economy."

Application deadline for the Executive Wine MBA is in January 2016 with classes beginning in March. Coursework takes place on alternating weekends over a 17-month period. This structure allows professionals and executives to develop their business acumen while bringing new skills to current work projects. Participants typically include wine industry professionals, including winemakers, viticulturists, brand managers, and distributors. Curricula includes consulting projects, case study analysis, simulations, and integrative strategy courses to improve knowledge of business plans, sustainable operations, brand marketing, and strategic planning in a complex and global environment.

Students also have opportunity to participate in organized group trips domestically and internationally that develop leadership communication skills, teamwork, self-assessment, and self-reflection.

An information session regarding the Executive MBA degree program, which begins October 2015 with application deadline in September, takes place August 8, 2015 on the SSU campus.
