The program includes a networking reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and presentations of scholarship winners and acknowledgment of graduating seniors at 8 p.m. The annual event is designed to provide current and prospective students and companies an opportunity to gather and interact in advance of the fall recruiting season.

The Big Four auditors, including Deloitte, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ernst and Young, and KPMG, will also have officers and executives in attendance as sponsors of the event. Five student scholarships will be presented, including three scholarships awarded by Crowe Horwath, and one scholarship each awarded by Becker Professional Education, Roger CPA Review, and Moss-Adams.

"Sonoma State University places more than 100 students each year into high-quality accounting positions. The caliber of our students and reputation of our programs have made us a target for recruiting among the Big Four and top regional firms. Many of our alumni are now partners at these major firms and return each year to help make this banquet a success," Joe Standridge, Professional Faculty in Accounting, Advisor to the Accounting Forum, and six-time winner of the Students' Choice Award said.

The Accounting Forum is designed to maximize job opportunities for students, promote self-development, and cultivate a sense of responsibility and professionalism among its members. Its annual Spring Banquet draws up to 200 attendees each year, including approximately 100 alumni in accounting careers. Cost to attend the event for interested firms is $825 per table, and $600 for an additional table.

"The strong success of the Accounting Forum is an important example of the kind of direct positive impact that our programs have on student growth, professional development, and career success. Now more than ever, ethical financial competence is required to move businesses, communities, and our economy forward. I applaud and thank Joe for his work and success in developing these programs and partnerships on behalf of our students," Dr. William S. Silver, Dean of the School of Business and Economics said.
