Career Hacking with Eazl

Rohnert Park, CA- "You have to equip yourself. The real world is just around the corner and you need it more than it needs you," an important lesson learned by Sonoma State University Alumni, Davis Jones, who is the co-founder of Eazl.co, a career management training platform for young professionals.davis_jones

Buying his first share of stock (Intel) at age 8, it was clear that Jones was destined to flourish in the business world. Jones decided to attend Sonoma State University in 2009, and graduated with high honors in Economics in 2011.

"Sonoma State really helped me learn how to think. Much of that knowledge came from seeing how the great minds of Sonoma State thought--Steven Cuellar, Michael Santos, Florence Bouvet, Merlin Hanauer, and others."

"After I graduated... I had all of this amazing business training but didn't know basic things like how the labor market worked, why employers hire people, or how to get a customer for my small business," Jones explained.  "I honestly felt scared and helpless--even though I had a couple of fancy degrees. So, I decided to do something about this problem." This desire to help others find their career led to Eazl.

Jones led the Eazl project, and the team successfully raised $40,000 in seed funding for the project, cultivated a community of 26,000 during its pilot launch, and was accepted into Stanford's startup lab StartX and the Sprout mentorship program through the Bay Area innovation hub SoCo Nexus.

There is a tremendous amount of value to be gained from highly-specialized, on-demand courses, ranging from videos to templates and guides, to help empower you in your job search. Eazl develops these quickly using excellent research, animation, and distribution techniques and deliver them at scale with a 10x value proposition for participants.

"The most rewarding part of being an entrepreneur is that is an exercise that leads to POWERFUL self-creation. That's because it is extremely difficult. Let me emphasize that--it is EXTREMELY difficult. The hours are long and there is nobody behind you waiting to write you a check at the end of the week. It builds a tremendous amount of character, leads you to think practically and in terms of effectiveness, and rewards you for leading the creation of something. I literally love Eazl because my co-founder, my teammates, and I have all poured so much into it."

Eazl is continuing to grow, and the Eazl team is proud to announce that they have just launched the Career Hacking Mastercourse. It is now the #1 professional development course on Udemy, a popular online course platform.

Professors Sarah Dove and Rich Campbell are piloting the Eazl products with students in Management and Marketing courses.  According to one student, "All of the information presented throughout the course was extremely helpful and is great for anyone looking to take the next step in their life whether that be to graduate school, a career or simply to another company. I loved that it didn't just go over how to improve one's resume but also worked on how to make network connections and how to improve one's LinkedIn profile."

College Career Center Directors see this product as an excellent resource for college students and as an enhancement to a career development course.
