Our mission is to develop leaders in the global wine industry who act with a deeper understanding of themselves, their organizations, and their communities, and contribute positively to the growth of each.
In 2012, the School of Business and Economics (SBE) in partnership with the Wine Business Institute launched the United States’ first Leadership Intensive, Global Wine Executive MBA focused on the business of wine. The program begins each October, offers a low-residency distance learning format with in-person Residential Leadership Immersives and international study tours over an 18 month period. No GMAT required.
Leadership Learning Modules:
There are three experiential learning modules included in the Global Wine Executive MBA.
- The first experiential learning module begins with a two-day immersive where students eMBArk on their journey of leadership development. The leadership track continues throughout the program where students develop their capacity to work in teams and implement a professional development plan which they develop in consultation with an executive career coach.
- The second experiential learning module offers an immersive workshop called Innovation, Design and Technology Leadership where students learn the art of design thinking and innovation.
- The third experiential learning module is an international study tour where students are introduced to new cultures, visit international business facilities, and meet with senior management and industry specialists to discuss relevant topics.
