Mark Wood is an adjunct instructor of Talent Management in the SEMBA and WEMBA programs. He is also an independent consultant focusing on various aspects of organizational performance, including executive coaching, leadership development, HR strategy, and compensation strategy and design. Prior to starting his consulting business in 2013, Mark was Senior Vice President of HR & Corporate Affairs for BioMarin Pharmaceutical, overseeing HR, public relations and real estate strategy during a pivotal 9-year period of turnaround then explosive growth. Other prior roles include VP of HR and Administration for AG Consulting (an ADP Company), Manager of Compensation and Quantitative Analysis for Genentech, and HR Manager for Wells Fargo Bank. Mark earned a Master of Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and management from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
